Athletics

On Sunday 22^nd January, eight children from St. Peter’s represented Wirral in the County Sportshall Athletic Final in Widnes.

They competed in track events including relay races and the grand prix, and field events such as speed bounce, long and triple jump and chest push.  This event was the culmination of several competitions in which the children have been part of the Wirral team and was to decide the final placing for all five different teams.

The children competed with great enthusiasm and skill and resulted in both the boys and girls teams finishing second. The girls team only 2 points off first. A tremendous achievement – many congratulations to all the children involved.
