On the 3rd February, St. Peter's attended the Everton Premier League football tournament.  First of all we played St Joseph's, it was a tough game but Matthew managed to score and we won 1-0.  After that we played Higher Bebington, Patrick scored a tap in with Matthew having a cross in which led to an own goal by their defender.  We won 2-0.  We were also awarded a 1-0 win as Poulton Lancelyn didn't turn up.

Finishing winners in our group, we progressed to the quarterfinals where we played Bidston Avenue.  During the game we had lots of shots and a penalty which we missed.  In the end, the game went to penalties which we won.  However they had two penalties disallowed because the referee did not blow the whistle and Lucas saved the last one.  Alfie then stepped up to take it and scored.  Lucas now needed to save the last penalty and he did!

In the semifinals we played Mersey Park with Harry and Chris on the score sheet.  It was 2-2 at the end so it went to extra time.  They then scored in the last minute of the first half of extra time.  We tried to pull it back with lots of shots and crosses but unfortunately we couldn't score.

We would like to thank Mrs Penn and all the parents for coming to support us.
