Meet The Team

Welcome to St Peter's Safeguarding team.

It is of the utmost importance that children feel safe when they attend school and they know who to talk to if anything is worrying them.

As a school, we take safeguarding our children seriously.

Our safeguarding team consists of:

Mr Wallace - Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

Mrs Birmingham - Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

Miss Eans - Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

Mrs Nelson - Safeguarding Link Governor 

 

The DSL and DDSL meet weekly to discuss all things related to safeguarding, including SEND, pastoral and attendance to make sure we are doing everything we can to keep children safe.

 

All safeguarding posters are displayed in every classroom, as well as other public places across the school.

As well as talking to our safeguarding team, children know they can talk to any adults across school, who have all had safeguarding training.

Family Toolbox

Over the last few years, a number of agencies offering support to families in Wirral have been listening to parents and carers to understand the kinds of challenges you’re up against – and lots of it came down to not being able to find the right resources or support at the right time.

Family Toolbox is Wirral’s response. Launched in April 2022, it is available to all Wirral’s parents and carers. It aims to make resources and support more readily available, putting the power right in the hands of families to work out what you want to change, and what steps you want to take to do that.
