Fantastic fundraising!

14th December 2020
This term year 5/6 have been learning about the Rock of Joy Trust schools in Uganda and thinking of ways to fundraise for them. Every morning for the week of 30th November 5/6B released a 10 minute fitness video (Joe Wicks – style) for the other classes in school to enjoy in their bubbles. This project was linked to their RE work on the Kingdom of God and their fundraising target was £200. They finally raised a huge £622! They were also sponsored to do 'Cash for Chores' and this raised £280!

One of our Year 6 pupils, Joseph, decided he wanted to raise money and, during the November lockdown, trained to be able to cycle the full Wirral Circular Trail (60km). People have been incredibly generous and he has raised over £900! Last week he was joined by his classmate, Dougie, and the two of them did the 60km cycle. A fantastic achievement! Well done!

Thank you to all of you who have sponsored the activities and well done to all the children who took part.
