Earlier this month the school was awarded ‘Green Flag’ status for our continued Eco work and awareness of environmental issues affecting our school, local community and everyday lives.
The Eco Committee had to complete an environmental review covering the Eco School’s 9 topics:
- Energy
- Water
- Biodiversity
- School grounds
- Healthy living
- Transport
- Litter
- Waste
- Global citizenship
Congratulations to everyone involved. It is fantastic to be able to fly our green flag!
Update!
We have recently recieved the Assessor's Comments:
"I am really impressed by the progress that St. Peter's has made since the last Green Flag. The eco work is part of their school ethos and they have become a driving force in their local community, developing successful relationships with other schools and community groups to improve local parks, carry out collective litter picks, work with local businesses and support new eco schools in the area. The team of staff bring knowledge and expertise and the children are really passionate and enthusiastic. I love the eco enterprise element and am looking forward to seeing what they do next."
