Did you know that, like 1 in 7 Primary Schools, we don’t have a dedicated Library space at St Peter’s?
We’ve relied on creating reading corners in classrooms and creating book displays in shared spaces, but there is currently no one place in school that is dedicated to nurturing and developing our children’s love of reading. The challenges of providing the right reading material stretch beyond space. Put simply, unfortunately our school budget just doesn’t stretch to funding the range of texts we need to teach our challenging and progressive curriculum – or to replenish the books we do have, even annually.

At St Peter’s we are so passionate about the difference that Reading for Pleasure makes to our children’s education and future, which is why we’re taking matters into our own hands and launching The St Peter’s Library Project!
