Our reading spine consists of a curated selection of books tailored to the age and developmental stage of your child. These books have been chosen for their literary quality, engaging content, ability to spark a love of reading as well as providing characters to reflect themselves and providing windows into the world of others.

Each carefully chosen book forms part of your child’s classroom library and is used daily as part of our reading for pleasure time. This is non-negotiable time in the school day where children hear stories read to them by the adults in school.

During a child’s time at St Peter’s they will have a deep knowledge and understanding of over 250 books which will be fundamental in their academic progress.
